When I get upset, I want to take my anger out on the closest target. I attack the wrong enemy by exploding on someone who did not cause my problem. Anger hurts my relationships and does nothing to help me. I think what I do is better than getting even.
Romans 12:19 is, “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for the Lord’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.”
Ephesians 4:26 is, “In your anger, do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.”
Holy Bible, New International Version, 2011)
God desires I allow Him to take care of my enemies. He commands me to let go of my anger. The enemy uses my emotions, like anger, against me. The Lord helps me to resolve my anger instead of allowing it to build.
